I am Michael J Poyntz, a New York based actor and UCB Trained improviser. I earned my BA in theatre with a minor in computer science from Muhlenberg College. I am charmingly awkward with the innocent neurosis of a first day intern. Cousin Greg. Zach Woods. Nick Miller.

Since graduating in 2019, I performed at LaMaMa, The Upright Citizen's Brigade, Q.E.D., IRT, The Producer's Club, among others. My skillset is diverse, yet focused, and my instincts are rooted in how to best serve the story.

Most recently, I co-starred in Ali Keller's film To Have and To Hold, which is now a screenplay semifinalist at the Atlanta Film Festival. I regularly perform improv with CATTYWAMPUS at Q.E.D. Astoria and The Magnet.

When I'm not acting, I work on set with production companies like The Crop Shoppe, REM Static, Zipline Media, and Ali Keller LLC.
